Eyelash Extensions

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The single strands are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.

What Are Classic Eyelash Extensions?

This is the most basic, the most natural looking eyelash extension type that you are going to find out there.

Classic eyelash extensions are going to add length, perfect for those that already have a good amount of natural lashes.

What Are Volume Eyelash Extensions?

Volume eyelash extensions are the fullest lashes that we do. They are a 3D lash, meaning 3 lashes are applied in a fan to 1 natural lash.

What Are Hybrid Eyelash Extensions?

Hybrid eyelash extensions are a combination of classic and volume lash extensions. This mixture creates a fluffy and full look but still natural.

I have lash extensions from another salon. Can I refill them here?

We are accepting any new and returning clients that have lash extensions from a different salon. We will inspect the set to determine if it is possible to refill the lashes. If the work is not applied correctly or the current condition of the lashes are not workable, we will require a removal and a full set to be booked instead.  A minimum of 40% retention must be in tact to be considered a refill.

What do I need to do before I come to my Lash Appointment?

Make sure your eyes are free from makeup.

Wash your hair the morning of or the night before as you cannot get them wet for 48 hours after application.

If you have lashes on, clean them with an appropriate lash shampoo.

Tips for looking after your Lash Extensions:

Avoid Getting Them Wet the First 48 Hours: Avoid all contact with water and steam within the first 48 hours after having your extensions applied.

Wash your lashes regulary with an eyelash shampoo.

Lashes do need to be brushed every day to keep tidy with a spoolie brush.

The more touching, tugging, and rubbing, the weaker your extensions become and the more likely they are to fall out or break off ahead of schedule (taking the natural lash they were attached to with them).

Don’t use an eyelash curler. Avoid any oil around the lashes as this will disintegrate the glue.

How long will a set of eyelashes last?

When applied our eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.

What happens at your appointment?

Do you need to completely shave off the eyebrows first, NO! Absolutely not, occasionally I may tidy up the surrounding area first with a disposable razor and/or tweezers. A skin analysis will be undertaken. This will predict how the skin will hold the pigment, and which option/s is best suited for you, as well as analyses the skin’s undertone to ensure a perfect colour match to your existing eyebrows colour. Then we will go through a very in-depth measuring, and outlining until you are completely happy before we begin. Remembering that every face has two sides and they are not exactly the same, we aim for symmetry but we also know brows are sisters and not twins, then 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure, you will then receive a touch up.

How will i look immediately after? What is the healing process?

Healing is different for everyone, In the first few days following the procedure, pigment will appear dark, thicker and intense, redness and swelling may incur, most likely will experience some sort of peeling, itching, flaking and scabs may form, it is imperative that you follow the aftercare instruction thoroughly, after the healing process, the pigment may then gradually disappear and appear lighter in the first week or so, but will then gradually reappear. Please note, that the proper aftercare of your Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo investment is vital, it is the responsibility of the Client to take care to avoid infection and to consult a medical doctor if any symptoms of infection occur.

After the healing process:

Once healed, sunscreen is to be applied to the area daily to reduce the risk of fading.

Spray Tan

How do I prepare for my tan?

In the lead up to your tan get those exfoliators out, preferably 3 days before your appointment. Most importantly on the night before or morning of your tan, exfoliate and remove unwanted hair. To achieve the smoothest, most luminous bronze, ensure your skin is free from makeup, moisturiser, unwanted hair, deodorant and perfume. Don’t bring your new outfit to wear home from the studio – loose, dark clothes are best.

When should I shower after my tan?

As our solution is rapid drying, you can shower as soon as 1.5 hours after your tan, or leave on the skin for up to 8 hours. We always tailor our application to work with your plans, to ensure you achieve your desired colour.

I'm pregnant or breastfeeding. Can i get a tan?

Testing indicates that the DHA does not penetrate the skin, nor enter the bloodstream, therefore it appears safe to spray you. However, as a precaution, we suggest you seek permission from a doctor, prior to being sprayed in the first trimester.
